It seems that every time you feel your game slip, and your thinking about calling it a day, you hit that one shot that puts you right back into the zone. This past weekend on a golf trip with some friends I hit a shot of a lifetime.

My friends and I teed off on the first hole, a long par five with a slight dogleg to the left, and water about fifty yards from the hole. I began terribly on that hole, shooting a double-bogey, and continued my slump through the next six holes. On a short par three, I made my comeback. I took a lop-wedge, and hit a nice ninety yard shot, landing three feet before the hole, then back-spinning in for a hole in one. That shot fueled a beautiful finish to my round, and left me with bragging rights with my friends.
