My golf game has been in a slump lately. I used to be able to end my local par 5 country club course at least a couple of strokes under par. Then I had an entire month of finishing with an extra ten or twelve strokes. I just couldn’t figure out what I was doing differently. Luckily one of my buddies pointed it out to me — I had skipped my biweekly golf swing lessons in order to save a little extra cash during the recession. There’s nothing I can do at the moment, but the realization means that as soon as the monthly budget gets a little breathing room, I will be going back to my golf swing lessons.

I had almost given up on the idea of trying to cure my slice, and then I found this really great instructional video on the Internet. I had always avoided instruction from Internet sites, because I felt that I might pick up some bad habits from less qualified individuals, but these guys had a preview video available, and I could tell they were fairly knowledgeable.

I tried the tips out today on the course, and I won’t say for sure that I’ve managed to cure my slice, but I was definitely hitting the ball a lot straighter. The whole experience has really opened my mind to the idea of using the Internet for golf advice.
